Hallertau Porter Noir 750ml

A seriously good barrel-aged porter made in Riverhead, just north west of Auckland. The beer is made as a strong dark porter which then spends some time in used Pinot Noir wine barrels. The resulting mix of flavours range from chocolate and rich malt to wild berry-fruits, cherries, oak, vanilla and dried plums. This is all underpinned by gamey, roasted meat notes and the package is complex, powerful and an alround great beer experience. A real must for any beer nut!
