Gem Gisborne Chardonnay 2007

Grown in on the Judd Vineyard in Patutahi, Gisborne, the grapes for this Chardonnay were hand picked, then gently pressed to a mixture of new and seasoned barrels for fermentation and maturation. After 11 months, the barrels were racked and the wine blended, filtered and bottled. The resulting wine shows the potential to develop well into the next decade. Nectarine & plum flavours with peach and apricot tucked into the background. Clean across the back of the palate - considering the wild ferment - with vanilla and toasted oak aromas.
