Gem Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2006
Grown on the Petrie Vineyard in the Wairarapa, the grapes for this wine were hand-picked and fermented using indigenous yeasts to obtain ideal tannin and colour. It has been aged in a mixture of new and seasoned oak for 14 months, to allow fruit, tannin and oak to integrate.
Black plum & raspberry flavours coupled with cherry and ripe strawberry. Forest floor characters are pulled together by soft tannins leaving violets and spice to lace the edges.
