Torlesse Waipara Riesling 2010

"The grapes are from four different vineyard sites that give a range of ripeness and hence different flavours. The different vineyards each impart their own distinctive character, the structure of the wine reflects the soil type, the heavier soils provide body and structure, the lighter soils add fresh aromatics and a hint of mineral character. This wine represents the best expression of fruit driven flavours from the low cropping but excellent 2010 vintage. It shows ripe lime citrus flavours contrasted with fresh granny smith apple and hints of mineral characters. The wine has medium residual sweetness well balanced by the crisp acidity to finish clean and fresh. This wine is perfect drinking now while young but will reward cellaring for up to 10 years."
