Rivalta is a small town in the Italian Piamonte and the birthplace of our founder, ‘Don’ Pedro Pavone-Voglino. This wine is a tribute to this daring pioneer and reflects the special character and complexity of our old vine Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in Peumo. Rivalta shows the very best of Santa Ema, a wine for important occasions and with tremendous potential for aging.
Deep ruby-red. Intense aromas of black fruit, blueberries and blackberries with black pepper and a touch of mint and chocolate that lends elegance. A highly concentrated palate, complex, and well-balanced with round tannins and a lush, velvety texture. A powerfully expressive wine with a deliciously long finish.
Sensational with lamb and game, such as venison or boar. Delightful with duck magret with spices and chutneys. Also perfect with pepper steak.
